Hi everybody.
COVID-19 / Coronavirus has hit Alberta, and schools are now closed indefinitely. Students and parents are concerned about studying for the next few months and have asked me if tutoring sessions will continue. Yes, I will continue as long as I don’t get ill, but I will probably be switching to online sessions until this passes. If you are a Tutor Doctor client, they you have probably gotten an email from them explaining it all. If not, then…
You’ll need:
- a computer
- internet (check your speed here)
- a webcam (optional)
- a printer (optional)
And:
- an internet / VoIP phone with video (such as Skype, Facetime, Zoom, Google Hangouts)
- a whiteboard to write back and forth (such as WebWhiteBoard)
- your printer connected to Google Cloud Print (optional)
How will it work?
- Google Hangouts – You will receive an email from me. Google will do the rest.
- Skype – You will need to send me your Skype ID (username or email address), and I will call you.
- Other – I haven’t used the others yet. If you don’t use Google Hangouts or Skype, I’ll set up the others on my computer.
Check your upload / download speed here. If it is over 5 upload and 10 download, it will be fine.
Please take a minute to answer these questions.
Thanks!
